The arms of Jesus welcomed Gwen Lucile Russell home to heaven on March 11, 1994. She was 84. Greatly loved wife, momma, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Endeared by her close relatives as "Bunny". With keen intellect and wit, Gwen relished life, generously bringing joy into the lives of all who admired and loved her.
Born November 23, 1909 in Salt Lake City to William G. and Zina Hansen Workman. Gwen attended LDS High School and the University of Utah. She married William C. (Bill) Russell on August 20, 1933. She worked for the Division of Wildlife Services (Fish and Game) for over 15 years.Survived by husband, William C. Russell; daughters: Jone (Robert) Bishop and Sue (Dahl) Duffin; five grandchildren: Chad and Brooke Tew, Nan, Jennifer and Dani Duffin; four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 15, 12 noon, Larkin Chapel, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
