Albert LeRoy Skidmore, Jr., 63, passed way at his home on Tuesday, March 15, 1994 after an extended bout with cancer.

He was born September 8, 1930, in Lehi, Utah to Albert and Reva Hutchings Skidmore. He grew up in Delta, Utah and served an LDS Mission in Eastern Canada. He married Vilo Adams in the St. George Temple November 22, 1952. After serving in the Army in Alaska, he finished his schooling at Utah State University and moved to Tooele to pursue his teaching career.He taught art and aviation at Tooele High School for 30 years. After retiring, he worked at the Tooele Transcript-Bulletin Office. He served in many church callings including home teacher, bishop's counselor, bishop and stake executive secretary. He was an accomplished artist and loved flying.

Surviving are his wife, Vilo, of Tooele; daughter, Elizabeth (Ronald) Brown, Grantsville, Utah; sons, David (Becky) Skidmore, Sparks, Nevada; James (Jane) Skidmore, Hyde Park, Utah; 12 grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Dorothy Lawrence, Salt Lake City; Aldeen Nielsen, Hyrum, Utah; Muriel Martin, Sunset, Utah; Peggy Windchief, Evanston, Wyoming. Preceded in deaath by his parents, one brother, two brothers-in-law.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 18, 1994 at 11 a.m. at the Tooele Stake Center, 235 South 2nd East, Tooele, Utah. Viewing will be Thursday, March 17, 1994 at the Tate Mortuary, 110 So. Main, Tooele, Utah, from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the Stake Center.
