Morris Air, now owned by Southwest Airlines, said it will expand the number of its flights from Salt Lake City to Denver, Las Vegas, Boise and Oakland on June 1, drop San Jose and reduce flights to Spokane.Morris said it will increase its flights to Denver from four daily to five. The earliest departure to Denver, now 11:50 a.m., will be 8:50 a.m. Service to Boise will double to four flights.
Las Vegas flights will increase from four to five, while service to Oakland will increase from two to three daily.
Flights to Spokane will be cut from two flights a day to one, and service to San Jose will be discontinued. Morris earlier announced it would eliminate service to Laughlin, Nev.; Eugene, Ore.; and Fresno and Palm Springs, Calif.
Morris said one flight per day will be offered to Reno beginning in June, when Southwest said the changeover to its corporate logo for planes and employee uniforms will begin.
Morris earlier said it would eliminate Salt Lake City-to-Reno flights but said flights could be put back under the Southwest banner.
Since its acquisition by Southwest on Dec. 31, Morris has cut 53 of its 153 daily flights. A spokesman said the schedule beginning in June will include some 103 flights per day.
Morris said daily service between Salt Lake City and Portland, Phoenix, San Diego, Seattle and Sacramento will remain unchanged.
