Evelyn Lindberg Dendy, 71, passed away in Fresno, California on February 15, 1994.

Born in Tooele, Utah, she was a resident of Fresno since 1958. Evelyn retired from St. Agnes Medical Center as a Chief Dietician in 1976. She belonged to the American Dietetic Association and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Fresno Sierra Ward, and was active in genealogical research and church activities. She had many interests and hobbies in such areas as sewing, cooking and playing the organ. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Evelyn was loving, generous and enjoyed each moment of life. She will be greatly missed by her family, who will always cherish her memory.She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, James O. Dendy in 1988. She is survived by her sister, Norma L. Turner, of Salt Lake; brother, Jay Lindberg, of Salt Lake; daughters, Charlene Dendy-Graves, Yvonne Dendy Malan, of Fresno; and Jenise Dendy Tingey, of Centerville, Utah; eight grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ann L. Jones, of San Deigo; and Ruth L. Smith, of Monticello, Utah; and one grandson.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no memorial service. Remembrances may be sent to the American Diabetes Association.
