Loren Delaine Rowley, age 72, died April 7, 1994 at home in Oasis.
Born December 24, 1921 at Deseret to Hugh Cleveland and Nellie Dean Conk Rowley. Married Beulah Webb August 3, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Schooled in Garrison and Hinckley. Senior Class President and won medals in track. Worked on UP Railroad. Served three years in the US Navy during World War II. In 1945 worked as guard at Topaz Relocation Camp. Farmer and trapper, school bus driver, mill worker at Oasis Seed Coop, truck driver and grader operator for Millard County.Active member of LDS Church serving as Scoutmaster, ward clerk, Sunday school counselor, home teacher and dry pack cannery supervisor with his wife. Children were his million dollars. Loved the West desert, trapping, chasing antelope, and looking for minerals.
Survived by wife, Oasis; sons and daughters, Steven D., Richfield; Mrs. Antonio (Susan) Mendoza and Scott C., both Oasis; Mrs. Gary (Sharon) Moore, Kaysville; Shane W., Delta; Stewart L., Oak City; 38 grandchildren; brother, Walter Eldon, Oasis; sister, Vernell Humphries, Oak City.
Funeral service Monday, April 11, 1994 at 11 a.m. at Deseret-Oasis Ward Chapel. Friends call at Nickle Mortuary, 190 South Center, Delta, on Sunday from 7-8 p.m. and at church on Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. Burial in Deseret Cemetery.
