Mary Jefferies Griffith, 92, died April 19, 1994 in Bountiful, Utah.
Born September 16, 1901 in Grantsville, Utah, to Richard and Jane Elizabeth Rydalch Jefferies. Married Joseph Quincy Griffith April 7, 1919. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1955.Mary was an active member of the LDS Church where she served in numerous callings. She was the mother of eight children, six of whom survive: Mary Jane (Arthur) Curry; Lois Bryan; Joseph (Alice) Griffith; Richard (Kathleen) Griffith; Nancy Higley; William (Jo Ann) Griffith; and daughter-in-law, Linda De Korver. Other survivors are: half sisters, Jennie Callister and Frances Briscoe. She had 26 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by sons, Charles (Jeff), and Dan Griffith; her parents; three sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 21, 2 p.m., at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, where friends may call from 12 noon until 1:45 p.m. Interment will be in the Tooele City Cemetery at 4 p.m.
