Lydia Jonas, 81, beloved wife of Otto Jonas for 59 years, passed away April 19, 1994 at Holy Cross Hospital, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Lydia was born on the 12th day of July, 1912, to father Heinrich Fuchs and mother, Emilie Bellersheim in Germany. Otto and Lydia married September 7, 1935 in a Protestant Church located in Gummersbach, Germany. Their marriage survived a six year separation during World War II, and they subsequently immigrated, with their son Otmar, to the United States.Here they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary at the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Chuch and laid the foundation upon which their family built.

Lydia is survived by her husband, Otto; son, Otmar and his wife, Ursula; three grandchildren, Rainer, Marita and Michael; great-grandson, Jehremie. Surviving family in Germany: Brother, Pastor Heinrich Fuchs.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 22, 1994, 11 a.m., Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, 175 So. 799 East, where friends may call Friday, one hour prior. Interment: Mt. View Memorial Estates.
