Peter R. Huntsman, son of Utah industrialist Jon M. Huntsman, has been named president of Huntsman Corp., formerly the Texaco Chemical Co., based in Houston.
Jon M. Huntsman is chairman and chief executive officer of the Huntsman companies, based in Salt Lake City.Peter Huntsman was president of Salt Lake-based Olympus Oil Co. during the early 1980s and later became senior vice president and a general manager of Huntsman Chemical Corp.
More recently he was executive vice president of Huntsman Corp.
Peter Huntsman spearheaded the Huntsman family's humanitarian relief efforts in Armenia, where he has made more than 30 trips to oversee operation of the Huntsman-Armenia Concrete Co. and to deliver food and medical supplies.
