John B. Thayer, director of admissions for Wasatch Academy, Mount Pleasant, has been elected president of the Western Boarding Schools Association.
The association represents 37 college-preparatory boarding schools in Arizona, California, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Utah and British Columbia.Enrollment at Wasatch Acadmey, Utah's only boarding school, has increased by 16 percent during Thayer's three years as admissions director.
