Pulitzer Prize-winning writer David Mamet has decided to film the movie version of his hit play "Oleanna" entirely in Massachusetts.

The Massachusetts Film Office said this week Mamet will direct the film, starring William H. Macy and Debra Eisenstadt."Oleanna," about alleged sexual harassment between a college professor and a female student, has been staged as a theatrical production in 50 countries.

Film Office director Linda Peterson Warren said the state was honored that Mamet decided to film the drama in his home state.

Producers Patricia Wolff and Sarah Green are teaming up for the screenplay adaptation for The Samuel Goldwyn Co. in association with Film Four.
