It appeared the Wolverines would not survive the 15-team cutoff, but in a surprise move, the National Tournament Committee decided today to waive the cutoff and include all 24 teams in the final two days of play. "I don't know what the story was on that," said UVSC coach Terry Shellenberger. "There was obviously some political maneuvering going on. But whatever the reason, it has given us a reprieve. We've got two more days to turn things around."Still, the Wolverines had another disappointing day, following Monday's 330 with a 331 for a 661 total. That leaves them 15 strokes behind Lincoln College, the 15th-place team.
