Our dearly beloved husband, father and grandfather, Graham Dodd, 58, died July 6, 1994 in Farmington, Utah following an auto/pedestrian accident.
He was born May 5, 1936 in Brighton, England to John Arthur and Alice Beatrice Johnson Dodd. At the age of 18, he immigrated to Canada and lived with the Oviatt family. He graduated from Glenwood High School in Glenwood, Alberta; from BYU in Provo, Utah, with high honors; and received his law degree from Boalt Hall, University of California, Berkeley Campus, where he won Moot Court.Graham married his "sweetheart of San Francisco," April Aaron, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 31, 1963. Graham and April and their family moved to Salt Lake City after his graduation, where Graham obtained employment with Kirton and Mcconkie law offices. He was currently serving as president of the firm when he died.
Graham has given a lifetime of service, both in church and civic affairs. He was past president of the Utah Kidney Foundation and was currently serving on the board of directors. He was a faithful and true member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a 21/2 year mission in France, where he was a counselor to both President Hinckley and President Broussard. He has served in countless church callings, including teacher, Elder's Quorum president, ward clerk, and bishop's counselor.
Graham loved and served his family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and clients with his whole heart. He gave freely of his time, talents and personal funds to help others in need - most of it unpublished. We will never know all the lives he has blessed.
His greatest joy was his wife and family. he was happiest when surrounded by those he loved so dearly. We will miss him terribly, but find comfort in the knowledge that he is now joyfully serving his Father in a new capacity.
