Irene Lyman Sevy, 73, passed away on July 20, 1994 in Provo, Utah.

Born September 15, 1920 in Parowan, Utah, to Morris Burton and Leone Jones Lyman. Married George Milton Sevy on October 3, 1942 in Phoenix, Arizona. The marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple.She was a member of the LDS Church serving in many callings including Relief Society president. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed being with her family.

She is survived by her children, Ann Pryor (Art), Cedar City; Janet Williamson (Dee), Rexburg, Id.; Steven M Sevy (Mary), Santa Clara; Mary Frances Hallman (Boyd), Pleasant Grove; Patricia Lynn Gardner (Richard), West Jordan; Lyman M Sevy (Caroline), Cedar City; sisters, Beth Edwards, Milford, Ut.; Marie Munford, Cedar City; 23 grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Preceded in death by her husband, February 12, 1980 and an infant daughter, Elaine, April 13, 1956.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 23, 1994 at the Cedar City 2nd Ward Chapel at 11 a.m. Friends may call at Southern Utah Mortuary, Friday from 7-9 p.m. and also Saturday 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial in the Cedar City Cemetery.
