Former Detroit Red Wings left wing Bob Probert was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of liquor in connection with a motorcycle accident July 15.

Probert, who signed a four-year contract with Chicago on Saturday, reportedly had a blood alcohol level of 0.31 percent, more than three times the 0.1 percent level that is considered drunk in Michigan. He was released on a $10,000 personal bond.
