Elaine Hood Snow was reunited with LeRoy Snow on July 29, 1994.

She was born on September 30, 1904 to James and Jemima Hood and grew up with six brothers and sisters--Norman, Gladys, Glen, Lydia, Gordon and Franklin, who preceded her in death. She was a fun-loving young woman with many musical talents and was a very skilled legal secretary. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting and crocheting. As a Brownie Scout leader, she was able to teach these skills to children. Her daughters, Jeanne Marie (Ray Allen) and grandchildren Kathy, Becky, Judy and Jan--and Marilyn (Bill Richardson) and grandchildren Sharmon, Neil, Todd and Carol, enriched her life and spent many caring hours with her. She was thrifty with her money so she could be generous with her grandchildren. Her family and friends will remember her beautiful flowers, her love of gardening, her enjoyment of family singing and parties, her sense of humor which lasted to the end, and they will be happy she touched their lives. Elaine was unselfish with her time when neighbors were sick and extended that quality to Primary Children's Medical Center as a volunteer for many years. Hundreds of people purchased and enjoyed her hand-knitted and crocheted slipper socks that she donated to the hospital's gift shop. She loved little children, and during this past year, she enjoyed some special time sitting in her rocking chair reading stories to a great-granddaughter. All of her great-grandchildren living in Salt Lake City and Park City have brightened her last days with caring hugs and loving words. Her home nurses and family members who have assisted Jeanne and Marilyn in her care have been gentle and kind and made her circumstances more comfortable.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, on Monday, August 1, 1994 from 6-7:30 p.m. A short memorial service will follow. Interment will be at the Provo City Cemetery the following day at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Elaine would be pleased if family and friends would remember Primary Childrens Medical Center.
