Helen Theodorides Papaefthimiou, 80, died Saturday, August 13, 1994 after a lengthy illness.

She was born April 10, 1914 to a distinguished family in Kavala, Greece and she attended St. Joseph's preparatory school, graduating in 1932.She married the future director to the food and drug administration in the province of Kavala, Nicholas Papaefthimiou, in 1939.

After her husband passed away, she worked at many different jobs, successfully helping her three children through college. All who knew her remember her as a fine lady with a special charisma, and a radiant charm-a special characteristic of hers.

She is survived by her daughter, Toula and son-in-law, George, and their child, Cris Colovos; her two sons, Demetrios and his children, Nicholas and Alexander Papaefthimiou; and Eurysthenes and daughter-in-law, Brenda, and their children, Daphne and Demetra Papaefthimiou. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eurysthenes and Efthimia Asteriades Theodorides; and her husband, Nicholas Papaefthimiou.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 18, at 1 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 279 South 300 West, SLC.

Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park, Ogden.
