Ellen M. Allred, age 80, passed away August 5, 1994.
Born June 10, 1914 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Thomas S. and Louisa Winegar McLaren. She married Delmar Allred, October 10, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many capacities; music director in the ward, stake dance director, tour guide at Temple Square, served a mission with her husband in Newport Tennessee, and one of the best cooks in the ward. She was also an instructor in cosmetology and had owned her own shop, but her greatest love was music and dance.Survived by her husband of 61 years, children: Patricia Ann Brown, Delmar Daniel, Linda Lois Ichoho, Sharon Elaine Hohmann, and Terrance Allen, 24 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 11, 1994, 1 p.m. at the Highland 2nd Ward, 2980 So. 2790 East. Viewing will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, and one hour prior at the ward. Interment at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South.
