Lucky, a German seeing-eye dog, will be retrained and given to a new blind owner, according to the London Daily Record.

Lucky's four previous owners weren't, uh, lucky. "Lucky led his first owner in front of a moving bus and the second off the end of a pier," said new trainer Ernst Gerber. "He actually pushed his third owner off a railway platform just as the Cologne-to-Frankfurt express was approaching, and he walked his fourth owner into heavy traffic before . . . running away to safety."Gerber said Lucky is "a good guide dog. He just needs to brush up on some elementary skills."

He said the new owner won't be told about Lucky's record because "it would make them (sic) nervous."
