Glen Burkinshaw, 79, returned to his Heavenly Father, Thursday, September 22, 1994.

Born August 14, 1915 in Sandy, Utah, the son of Albert and Flossie Ferguson Burkinshaw. Married Joyce Silcox, November 5, 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. His family always came first in his life and he taught them by example. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be missed.He was an outstanding business man owning and managing five beauty salons. He served on the State Board of Cosmetology, Utah Technical College Advisory Committee and as a member of the State Board of Cosmetology.

He loved the gospel and doing genealogy. He served in many leadership positions in the church. During the past 10 years has served his Heavenly Father faithfully in the Jordan River Temple.

Survived by his wife, Jo; children, Craig (Shirleen), Cherie Voda, Corby (Suzy), 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; brother, Jay, sisters, Loris Wells, Wanda Crawford, sister-in-law, Bernice.

So many times we've needed you

A million times we've cried

If love alone could save you

You never would have died.

God knows how much we love you

And a cure was not to be,

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 26, 1994 at the Murray 24th Ward, 755 East Three Fountains Dr. at 12 noon. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday evening, September 25, 1994 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. and from 10:30 to 11:40 a.m. Monday at the church prior to services. Interment: Riverton City Cemetery.
