Effective immediately, Salt Lake Regional Medical Center is the new name of the hospital formerly known as Holy Cross Hospital of Salt Lake City.

Located at 1050 E. South Temple, the hospital is an affiliate of HealthTrust Inc., The Hospital Co. HealthTrust recently acquired Holy Cross Hospital in a sale completed Aug. 15.Legacy Medical Center was originally selected as the name before HealthTrust's purchase of the facility. However, shortly after the announcement of the name, HealthTrust was advised that another company holds the intellectual property rights to the name Legacy.
