Everything from Broadway musicals to Greek drama are on the theater menu this week. In addition to "Mame" (see separate story on page E9), theatergoers can pick from the following shows:

- WOMEN IN CONGRESS is a modernized version of Aristophanes' drama about Praxagora and her plans to save the city of Athens by putting women in power in congress. The cast, led by director and Westminster alumna Luann Hines, includes Amy Spafford as Praxagora; Michael Robinson as her husband, Plepyrus; Jerry Rapier as the young Chremes; and Nichole Young as Chremes' love interest, Clinarette. The two performances will be staged in Greek fashion, at Westminster College's amphitheater (accessible from the south parking lot, 1840 S. 1300 East). Performances will be at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10. Admission is free and the audience is encouraged to bring their own picnic supplies.

- THE THREE MUSKETEERS, Alexander Dumas' swashbuckling adventure, is being directed by Ted Sharon for the Actors Repertory Theatre Ensemble's sixth Castle Amphitheater festival.

Performances will be at 8 p.m. on Sept. 9, 13, 15, 17 and 19, playing in repertory with William Shakespeare's "Macbeth" on Sept. 7-8, 10, 12, 14 and 16.

Tickets, available at the door, are $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. There will be preshow lectures at 7 p.m. on Sept. 15 and 16.

Patrons should dress appropriately for the weather and bring blankets or pillows.

- BAREFOOT IN THE PARK, Neil Simon's romantic comedy about a pair of newlyweds coping with a tiny new apartment, the bride's domineering mother and an overbearing neighbor.

The show features Kristen Shawgo and Tom Hughes as the newlyweds (and - in a case of life imitating art - Shawgo and Hughes fell in love during the rehearsals and will wed later this fall.)

Director Rosanna Ungermann's cast also includes Maridell Pearson, Clyde Weeks, David Marshall and Matt Neves.
