A person with AIDS who was ordered off an airplane because he had warts on his hands and wrists has settled his discrimination lawsuit against Delta Air Lines, his attorney said.

Richard Cloutier, 30, settled out of court last month, Bennett Klein said Friday. The terms were not disclosed.Cloutier claimed in his lawsuit that he was treated like "a freak" and denied a seat on a June flight from Boston to Atlanta until he covered warts on his hands and wrists with gloves or long-sleeved shirt. When he left the plane to buy the shirt in the airport, the plane left.

At the time, Delta said it had acted appropriately. Delta reiterated Thursday that it acted properly out of concern for Cloutier as well as the plane's crew and passengers.
