Former Prime Minister Harold Wilson is hospitalized after a fall at his London home.
Lord Wilson, 78, was in stable condition, St. Thomas' Hospital said Wednesday. It said he was admitted Friday.Wilson was admitted for observation and is not expected to be hospitalized long, the hospital said.
Wilson headed two Labor Party administrations, from 1964 to 1970 and from 1974 until he resigned in 1976.

He was replaced as party leader by James Callaghan, who led Labor to defeat in the 1979 election. The Conservatives have held power since then, headed by Margaret Thatcher until 1990 and now by John Major.
