William Howard Allen, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, left his earthly home to be with his Father in Heaven on January 27, 1995 at age 85, following a long battle with cancer.

Howard was born on August 4, 1909 in Salt Lake City to Thomas and June Rosa Druce Allen. He married Maxine Carter on May 3, 1935 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He devoted his life to his family, putting their needs before his own. We give thanks to him for his untarnished example and his faithful love.He was superintendent of The Paris Company for many years until he began his own business (Brookfield Products, Inc.) with some friends in 1945. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His church service included, Chairman of the Pioneer Region Welfare Program, Stake President of the Granite Stake for 12 years, Mission President of the Northern California Mission from 1962-1965, member of the General YMMIA board, and member of the Salt Lake South Mission presidency.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Anice Rae (Del) Longmore of Ivins, Utah; son, Brent Howard (Linda) Allen; brother, Tom Allen; and son-in-law, Joel Stewart. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ardith Stewart who passed away on August 2, 1985. He has 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the home health personnel who helped care for Howard, with a special heartfelt "Thank you!" to Debbie and Kate.

Funeral services Tuesday, January 31st, 12 noon, Holladay Stake Center, 4568 South Holladay Blvd. Friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, and at the stake center on Tuesday, 10:45 - 11:45 a.m. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
