On January 24, 1995 a wind came out of a cloud by night, chilling and killing our beautiful Dawna Lyn.

She was born in Price, Utah on January 21, 1964, to George and Jeri Lynn Oviatt Fasselin. She grew up in Carbon County and graduated from Carbon High School. In 1984 she married Eric Nielson; he was killed in a farm accident in 1986. In August 1994 she married Jackson Howard. Dawna was a bright, vivacious person, full of life and joy. She gave much of herself and was generous with her family and friends. Everyone who knew her loved her. In May 1994 she was awarded a bachelor of arts degree in English from Westminster College. She was greatly interested in music and art, and making her family and loved ones happy. At the time of her death she was about to depart on a second honeymoon to Asia with her devoted and loving husband; but God works in a mysterious way.She is survived by her father and stepmother, George and Gloria Fasselin, of Wellington; her mother and stepfather, Jeri and Doug Reid, of Wellington; her brothers, Bill Fasselin, Elmo; Chet Rackley, Helper; her grandmother, Dawna Oviatt, Wellington; her grandmother, Zina Tabor, Price; and numerous other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Clint Oviatt, and her first husband, Eric Nielson, whom she is now with once again. She was loved by all and will be missed as deeply as she was loved.
