Marjorie Mellor Brock, 74, died Tuesday, January 3, 1995.

She was born November 21, 1920 in Fayette, Utah to Archie M. and Elvira Barbara Peterson Mellor. She married James Brock in North Ridge, Calif. on February 1, 1969.Marjorie graduated from Manti High School. She received her graduate degree in 1938 from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She did graduate work at the University of Berkeley in California. She taught school in Utah and California. She usually taught Speech, Drama, and English on junior high and high school levels. She retired after spending 30 years in education. She lived in St. George for the last four years. She was a member of the LDS Church.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. James W. Brock; a daughter, Friedel Barbara Cunningham (Edmund) of Northridge, Calif.; a granddaughter, Cassandra Cunningham and a sister, Helen Davis of Sandy. She was preceded in death by a brother, Myron Mellor.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 12 noon at the Grace Episcopal Church, 1072 East 900 So., St. George, Utah. Graveside services will be held at the Manti City Cemetery on Saturday, January 7 at 2 p.m. under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The House Ear Institute, 2100 West 3rd Street, Los Angeles, Calif.
