On January 7, 1995, Ryan Adrian Farr, 18, a unique and beautiful spirit, left us for now. We will all miss him very much. He had given something special to every person he has touched. We look forward to the day we can see him again.
Ryan was a graduate of Highland High School in Salt Lake City. He was a member of the school's swim and water polo teams. He had a love for the environment and all the people around him.Surviving him are his mother, Catherine Jean Patillo; brother, Clayton Randall Farr; half brothers and stepsister, J.R., Isaac, and Samantha Farr, all of Salt Lake City; his father, Randall Jay Farr of Virginia; stepfather, Peter Monzon of McCook, Nebraska; his stepmother, Deborah Farr of Salt Lake City; his grandmothers, Lillian Patillo and Helen Farr of Ogden; aunts and uncles, Janice and Merl Hessling of California, Delores and Kent Ottley of Ogden, Nancy and Dennis Grunder of Ogden, and DeAnna Farr of Salt Lake. He also has numerous cousins in Salt Lake, Ogden and Calif.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, January 11, at 5:30 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church, 569 South 1300 East, Salt Lake City, with Minister Tom Goldsmith officiating. His ashes will be scattered in the Pacific Ocean off the Oregon coast that he loved so much.
