Melva Stevens Brown passed away Sunday, October 15, 1995.
Born May 11, 1922 in Manti, Utah, daughter of Milton and Rozella Lowry Harmon. Married Leo K. Stevens, May 27, 1940; he preceded her in death June 13, 1975. Married Warren (Kork) Brown, July 15, 1976. Melva had an unconditional love for her family and friends. She actively served the Lord as Relief Society president, in youth programs and many other positions in the LDS Church. Served a mission in Nauvoo with her devoted husband, Kork. Her real mission in life was dedicated service and support to her family. She will be greatly missed by her many friends both on and off the golf course.Survived by children, Karen Andreason and Dick Despain, Magna; Dennis and Geesje Stevens, Phoenix; Sherry and Bob Tucker, West Valley City; Dr. Anthony K. and Carol Stevens, Parker, Idaho; Drew Brown, Cory and Tina Brown, all of Salt Lake City; Jeffrey and Nancy Kidder, Seattle, Wash.; three brothers, Leonard, John and Richard Harmon; one sister, Norman Grotepas. Preceded in death by two brothers, Lowry and George Harmon; one sister, Beth Potts.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 18, 12 noon at the Granger 10th Ward Chapel, 3274 Hillsdale Drive. Friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Road and Wednesday at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
