His face is a newspaper. Every line, scar, and wrinkle has it's own story to tell. You can find the headlines of experience written in his soft, sapphire eyes. His thin snowy hair is evidence of the many devoted years of faithful service given to his family.
His youth has been sapped by longevity. His once broad, erect shoulders now slouch heavily from his arching backbone. The sting of arthritis has invaded his joints making every move torture. His hearing is fading; his eyes will no more see a word.
He is deeply embedded in a daily routine, from which the slightest deviation brings panic. Bathing is a tiresome burden, merely rising from the couch is a strenuous ordeal. Day to day living requires maximum effort.
The duet of marriage has changed into a solo; however, his is not alone. His family is his sustaining symphony. Their selfless daily aid reciprocates his care of them.
