Guy Nielsen, 83, passed away October 2, 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born May 5, 1912 in Redmond, Utah to Henry O. and Ada Christensen Nielsen. Married Lois Fernley, June 22, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Guy served as a teacher, counselor, bishop, and High Councilman. Guy and Lois served a mission in Western Samoa.He was dearly loved by all and had many friends who will remember him for his sense of humor.
Survived by his wife, Lois, of 56 years; daughter, Sondra (Soni) Jane Nielsen Pons; six wonderful grandchildren, Randy Pons and wife, Brenda, Bryan Pons and wife, Jenne, Curtis Pons and wife, Donell, Alisa Morrill and husband, Rusty, Denise and Darrin Pons; five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a sister, Leah Brissenden.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Saturday, October 7, 1995 in the South Cottonwood 13th Ward Chapel, 5235 South Wesley Road (1090 East). Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the Ward Chapel Saturday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
