Pierce Brosnan says age and experience make this the right time for him to play James Bond.

Brosnan was first approached for the part in 1986 for "The Living Daylights" but had to decline when NBC revived his television series "Remington Steele.""I was very upset," Brosnan says in the Nov. 20 issue of People magazine. "Then again, maybe I wasn't up to the role in '86."

Now, it feels right to him. "There's a bit more age on the face and more scars on the heart and soul."
