A Provo man said he was just joking around with a knife when he cut a woman at her West Salt Lake home Wednesday.
Police were called to a home near 1100 South and 1200 West just after midnight when they found a woman with cuts on her left arm and a small cut on her side.The woman, 35, told police she was asleep when a man working at her home entered her bedroom and began to "joke" around with a kitchen knife. He also pinched and choked the woman and threatened her and her child.
The man was admitted to a local hospital because he was believed to have taken 40 prescription pills, according to police reports. A warrant was also out for his arrest.
