Our kind loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and neighbor, John Kell Coleman, died December 8, 1995 in Provo, Utah after a valiant battle with cancer.

He was born November 26, 1928 in Loa, Utah, a son of Charles Ellis and Ruth Allen Coleman. He married Shirley Forsyth on August 12, 1948 in Teasdale, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple, April 16, 1958. They lived in Monterey, California for 25 years, where he worked for Borden and Knudsen Dairy Products.He held many church positions. He served as a high councilman, bishop, bishop's counselor and 13 years as a scout master, where he helped 13 boys receive their Eagle Scout in the Monterey Bay LDS Stake.

His main love was his family and taking his grandchildren fishing to his favorite fishing hole. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved hunting, fishing and camping. He was skilled at fly tying. The last few years, he has enjoyed many long evenings playing cards with family and friends since retiring as a ranch foreman.

He is survived by his loving wife Shirley, of Elsinore; his children, Sheldon Coleman of Elsinore; Diane and Mark Humphries, of Salt Lake City; Jeffrey and Carla Coleman, Gregory and Michelle Coleman, all of Teasdale; Kelley and Stefan Feichko, of Price; 16 grandchildren, sisters, Claon and Marion Adams, of Monroe; Lorna and Arlie Brown, of Loa; Glena Vee and John Newby, of Ivins; his mother-in-law, Marzella P. Forsyth, of Teasdale. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, William Sheldon, Samuel Eldon and Ellis Gleave Coleman.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 12, 1995 at 1 p.m. in the Teasdale LDS Ward Cultural Hall. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the cultural hall in Teasdale Tuesday from 11-12:30 prior to services. Burial will be in the Teasdale Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
