Future Shop, an electronics, computer, music and appliance retailer, has opened a store at 750 S. Main in Layton, the company's second outlet in Utah.
The 32,300-square-foot store has 50 employees. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.Brett Boxwell, store manager, said, "We're opening the Layton store to meet northern Utah's growing demand for electronic, computer, appliance and music prod-ucts at low prices."
The company, which is based in British Columbia, Canada, opened a store at 7220 S. Union Park Ave. in Midvale in November and plans to open a third branch at 5790 S. Redwood Road in Taylorsville-Ben-nion early next year.
In addition to offering traditional consumer products such as televisions, video cassette recorders, stereo equipment and appliances, Future Shop carries a wide selection of home office and business-related products, such as computers, printers and fax machines.
Future Shop also offers a wide variety of services on its products, including in-store technical installation services for computers, car audio installation and delivery.
