Josephine Cano Garrett, age 68, passed away at her home December 22, 1995 in Murray of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
Born June 6, 1927 in Salt Lake City to Juan and Anna Paez Cano. Married Howard Dee Garrett, June 14, 1952, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Josephine was a lifelong resident of Murray. She was an active member of the Murray 3rd Ward, where she served in many callings. She was a member of the Murray Women's Club.
Survived by husband, mother of three daughters, Pamela Jo (Dennis) Smith, Sharon Dee (Michael) Bolam, and Jackie Garrett (Robert Bischoff), grandma to Thaddeus, Ashley, and Shea Smith, Mackenzie and Maddison Bolam, Desaray Brown, and Taylor Bischoff, mother, Anna Cano, sister to Emilio (Evelyn) Cano, Erma (Gary) Davis, Isabel (Larry) Adkins, Tony (Kathe) Cano, Maurice (Fipe) Cano, Randy (Ronnie) Cano, also many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by father, sister, Inez Cano, grandma Garrett and CeeGee girl.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 29, 1995, 12 noon at the Murray 3rd Ward, 160 East 4600 South. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State and Friday one hour prior at the church. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
