James Sheridan Reid, 92, passed away December 4, 1995 in Pacific Grove, California.
Born October 24, 1903 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John and Bertha Reid. Married Verla Peterson on June 17, 1942. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died April 30, 1982. Worked for Salt Lake Transportation Company. Moved to California working for Ft. Ord Military Base as a civilian employee. Active member of the LDS Church - Pacific Grove, Monterey Ward. He was dearly loved by all. He loved square dancing, folk dancing and gardening.Survivors: sons; Sheridan D. (Sharon) Reid, Burbank, California; Ronald T. (Doris) Reid, Port Angeles, Washington; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria (Ray) Hanni, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by brother John C. Reid and sister, Virginia Otley.
Graveside services will be held Monday, Dec. 11, 1995 at 1 p.m. in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (Delwood Section). Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 11:45-12:45 p.m. prior to graveside.
