Richard Bookstaber, who formerly taught finance at Brigham Young University, has been promoted to managing director and global risk manager at Salomon Brothers Inc. in New York City. He will oversee the firm's overall market risk. He previously spent 10 years with Morgan Stanley. Mansell & Associates has hired three new sales associates: Don Heath, a former paralegal, and Diana Perry, who previously worked with Colonial Club Convention Center and Medical Imaging, joined its Union Park office; Debbie Mitchell has joined Mansell & Associates' Draper office. She has four years of experience in real estate. Guardian State Bank has hired Jessie Bennett as a commercial loan officer at its South Valley Branch. She has a banking career that spans 27 years. Patrick McCallister is the new sales manager for CIGNA Healthcare of Utah's Salt Lake City office. He will manage the sales team and further define the firm's sales strategy.
