Mark Newton Ulmer died on February 16, 1995 in an airplane accident in Kansas City.
He was born August 15, 1956 to Mern and Harry Ulmer in Salt Lake City, Utah. On June 6, 1980, Mark and Diana Straschewski were married and sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mark was the father of four boys: Jonathan 13, Joseph 10, Jared 7 and Jay J, who died last May of heart problems.Mark is survived by many family members and friends who loved him very much and will miss him in a very big way.
His surviving family are Kay and Gordon Rushforth; Marilyn and Richard Boyer; Doug and Carla Ulmer; Ilene and Dave Steele; Julie and Guy Beynon; his in-laws, Gerda and Friedel Straschewski; Debra and Ed Kinsey; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mark is now with his son, Jay J; his parents; his sister, Peggy (Blake) Daniels; and many other family members. What a family reunion!
Mark had strong knowledge of the gospel and desired to know of things beyond this world. He taught us to set our goals high and to follow through. Mark's favorite interest was aviation. He set and achieved his goal to fly the big one.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 23, 1995 at 11 a.m. in the Centerville Chase Lane Ward, 1125 North 400 West. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and Thursday at the church from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment -Centerville City Cemetery.
