Boyd Albert Petty, age 72, passed away February 19, 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah of a stroke.
Born March 16, 1922 in Hiawatha, Utah, son of Elmer and Malinda Stringham Petty. Married Evelyn Christensen November 6, 1942 in Hiawatha, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple April 16, 1954. Active member of LDS Church, where he served in various callings including stake clerk, High Priest group leader, ward clerk for 11 years, and most recently as a supervisor in the Jordan River Temple Baptistry.Survived by wife, Evelyn, West Valley City; two sons and one daughter, Stanley Petty and wife, Vicky, Magna; Lorraine Nielsen and husband, John, South Jordan; Craig Petty and wife, Gayla, Sandy; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Vaughn and Ellis Petty; Berniece Anderson, and Fern Bouck.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 12 noon, at the West Valley 2nd Ward, 2820 West 3590 South. Friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Friday, at the church 11-11:40 a.m. Interment, South Jordan City Cemetery.
