Joe lost his fight with cancer March 2, 1995 at age 68.
A son of Sherman J. and Alice L. Preece, he was born and educated in Salt Lake City. Joe attended the U. of U. where he affiliated with Sigma Chi Fraternity.Joe and his wife of 44 years, Lorraine, moved to Vashon Island, Wash. in 1986. After retiring as a Manufacturer's Representative in 1990, he enjoyed the Island life--raising chickens, growing a garden, and mowing his 3 acre mini-farm.
Survived by wife, Lorraine; a son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Linda Preece of Seattle; a daughter, Jane Preece, of Seattle; a son, Judson Preece, of Bellevue; and a sister, Elaine Rosenbury, of Salt Lake City.
