Services for Reverend Peter Pilot, 76, of Turlock, California are scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Wednesday at Calvary Temple in Modesto, California. Burial will be private. Visitation is Monday evening from 5-9 p.m. and Tuesday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Reverend Pilot was born in Kollum, Holland. His family migrated to the United States in 1928 through Ellis Island. He attended North Central Bible College in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God for 55 years. He pastored churches in several states including Minnesota, Nebraska, and Colorado. He was pastor of the Salt Lake Christian Center in Salt Lake City for 25 years, and served as the Executive Presbyter over the state of Utah. He has lived in Turlock since 1982, where he was associate Pastor at the New Life Center Church, while his son was the pastor.He is survived by his wife, Pearl, a son, Larry Pilot, of Turlock; daughter, Peggy Galyen, who is a missionary to Malawi, Africa; a daughter, Donna Mitchel, of Salt Lake City, Utah; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

Remembrances may be made to the Bible College Scholarship Fund of his grandsons, Ryan and Shawn Galyen, Matthew Pilot, 2560 Barbara Way, Turlock, CA 95380. Allen Mortuary is in charge of the services.
