Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away Friday, March 17, 1995 at a Salt Lake hospital of causes incident to age.
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Cornelius and Louise Westbrook. Worked for the Army Engineers in Pearl Harber. Member of Boilermakers Local #182. Owned rental units for many years. A kind and gentle man, Corey was always willing to help the less fortunate. Member of the LDS Church, he was a High Priest and served as financial clerk for 15 years. Married Sonia Peterson Hilliard July 16, 1958. Corey and Sonia were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Corey loved to travel and fish, but his greatest love of all was his family.He will be greatly missed by his wife, Sonia; two sons, Craig (Janet) Hilliard, Corey (Lisa) Westbrook of Salt Lake City; and daughter Mrs. Terry (Cynthia) Walker of Stockton, California; grandchildren, Cortnie and Ashley Hilliard, Brandon and Aaron Walker, and Megan and Michael Westbrook, brother, Jake Westbrook and sister, Josie Hymer. He always will be remembered for the love of his family.
A viewing will be held Monday, March 20, 1995 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Memorial Estates, 5850 South 900 East. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 21, 1995, 2 p.m., at Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, where friends may call one hour prior to services.
