The Children's Literature Association of Utah has announced its 1995-96 reading lists. Children who read any of the nominated titles may mark a ballot at either a school or public library to vote for their favorite books.
UTAH CHILDREN'S BOOK AWARD for readers in grades three through six:This was the first award bestowed by CLAU "to encourage the love of reading on the part of children and to introduce children (and adults in their lives) to good books by outstanding authors."

THE UTAH YOUNG ADULTS BOOK AWARD was introduced in 1990 with the goal of promoting literature for students in grades seven through 12.
