A birthday celebration honoring Rosabelle, "Queen of the Dolls," will be held at the McCurdy Doll Museum throughout the month of March.

Rosabelle's birthday on the 23rd has been observed for more than 70 years, with Look magazine photographing it one year. This year the party will be held Saturday, March 25, at the McCurdy Doll Museum at 1:30 p.m.Displayed along with Rosabelle and her court will be her wardrobe of more than 50 dresses, her scrapbooks of newspaper clippings and photographs from Dr. Seuss, Rachel Field, Colleen Moore, the Petershams and other celebrities.

The story of Rosabelle will be told by Thomas Hinckley. He will also conduct the "Sprig of Green," ceremony in honor of St. Patrick's Day.

Reservations are required a may be made by calling the museum at 377-9935, Tuesday through Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults and $1.50 for children under 12. A free paper doll of Rosabelle will be given to those attending.
