U.S. Navy personnel hold the U.S. flag and Britain's Union Jack at a ceremony in London marking the 50th anniversary of the death of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Roosevelt, the 32nd president of the United States, died April 12, 1945, of a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 63. In Washington, D.C., President Clinton was traveling Wednesday to Roosevelt's Little White House at Warm Springs, Ga., where Roosevelt died. In his tribute, Clinton was expected to stress the benefits of Roosevelt's GI Bill of Rights.
