Pro-communist workers shout their anger during a trade union rally in front of the Russian White House on Wednesday in Moscow. Waving red flags and chanting anti-government slogans, about 2,000 protesters encircled the Russian government headquarters for over four hours as part of a nationwide labor protest to demand unpaid wages. Many demonstrators demanded the resignation of President Boris Yeltsin and his government. The government owes more than 5.6 trillion rubles ($1.14 billion) in back wages, and some workers haven't been paid in two years, according to the labor unions.
