With CDs becoming more a part of the American stereo and multimedia computer scene, keeping track of them is more of a problem. The delicate discs can be easily damaged or misplaced, and the plastic cases in which they are sold can crack or break.

To make it easier to keep better track of CDs, Roundhouse Products recently introduced CD Projects, a group of moderately priced, versatile audio cases. The Roladisc File is a stackable storage unit designed to hold up to 100 compact discs. The sturdy plastic storage file has a slide-out track drawer that helps keep out dust and moisture. The drawer features see-through, double-sleeved soft plastic holders that allow easy access to CDs. The suggested retail price is $29.95.

The Roladisc Compact resembles a telephone card file and is designed for quick access. The storage system uses an alphabetical index and holds up to 100 CDs. Suggested retail is $14.95.

The Ultralight 20 holds 20 CDs, or 10 with booklets. The molded plastic unit snaps closed. Suggested retail is $6.95.

The FlipCase 15 is a compact "flip style" case that folds closed and can be propped up on a desk for easy visibility. Suggested retail is $6.95.

All CD Projects cases have a matte-black finish.

- IF YOU'VE EVER wished you could watch your favorite movie while preparing dinner, you probably realize you barely have counter space for a TV, let alone a TV and VCR. You may want to consider the all-in-one units of TVs and VCRs that are becoming the fastest-growing segment of the TV market. Sony recently introduced two units that offer an ideal home entertainment solution when space is a major consideration - a Trinitron television and VHS VCR in a single, compact unit.

The TV and VCR are controlled with a single remote control, and you can record programs directly from the TV without changing channels. You also can record one program while watching another.

The built-in VCR features large, easy-to-operate control buttons, three-mode recording and playback and on-screen programming.

The 13-inch and 20-inch TV-VCRs are available at suggested retail prices of $699 and $749.
