David Emerson Boam, 83, died Monday, April 3, 1995 at a local care center.

He was born July 14, 1911 in Butte, Montana, to David Edgar and Margaret Gillespie Boam. He grew up in Murray, Utah with his three step-brothers, Grant, Jules, and Ross Bryan. He graduated from Murray High School in 1931. He attended the Hancock Foundation College of Aeronautic in 1931.He later moved with his mother and dad to Idaho where he met and married Bessie Lee of Idaho Falls, in 1933. All have preceded him in death.

He worked in Idaho Falls as a butcher, later moving to Salt Lake City where he worked for Utah Power and Transit Company. He moved to Spokane, Washington for the Transportation Company. He returned to Ogden and worked a short time for the Ogden City Lines, finally ending his working career at Hill Air

Force Base. He had several awards for his ideas and work.

He is survived by two children, William D. Boam and wife, Donna, Salt Lake City; Marsha Wold, West Haven; his grandchildren, Derek and Carrie Boam; Dana Pridham, Chris, Matthew and John Wold; great-grandchildren, Kylie Boam, Thomas Pridham and Nathan Wold.

Funeral services will be held at the graveside Friday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
