Vivian G. Chapman, 87, passed away May 14, 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born April 13, 1908 in Holden, Utah to James Freeman and Judith Theressa Stringham Giles. Married Arthur W. Chapman December 31, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death September 22, 1991.Vivian enjoyed her active membership in the LDS Church, participating in the Relief Society and Primary organizations, she was a past member of the South Salt Lake Lions Club, loved to sew and crochet.

She is survived by her children: Marian (Clifford) Johnson; A. Clint (Gerrie) Chapman; Vivian (Paul) Krantz; Harold (Sherrill) Chapman; Elaine (Tom) Kenney, Les (Leslie) Chapman; Betty Lustig; Paul (Carole) Chapman; 36 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren, sister: Tessie Mitchell. Preceded in death by her 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 1995 at 11 a.m. at the Valley View 3rd Ward, 4101 South 1925 East, Holladay. Friends and family may call at the Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior at the church.

The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at the Highland Care Center for their help and consideration in the care of their mother, Vivian.
