Microsoft Corp. is combining with Covey Leadership Center to enhance the software company's personal planning software.

Microsoft Schedule+ for Windows 95, an operating system that focuses on personal and organizational effectiveness, will soon contain concepts taught in Stephen Covey's best-selling book "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People." Schedule+ Seven Habits Tools will help users combine leadership with time management."By incorporating Covey's leadership principles into Schedule+ '95, we hope to extend users' effectiveness even further by providing them with an innovative solution for managing their work and life," said Pete Higgins, senior vice president of Microsoft's desktop applications division.

The new software will contain mission, roles, goals and wisdom tabs. Also, online instructional material will be included, and the Covey Leadership Center plans to develop add-ons to include journal, Seven Habits and evaluation tabs.

"Our continuing commitment to empower the people we teach led us to explore new ways to help individuals and organizations apply the Seven Habits," Covey said.
